5 L is a single-use reservoir bag supplied on its own rather than as part of a bag and hose set. It fits the manual ventilation port of a Dräger anaesthesia workstation, directly or via the existing bag hose, and holds the gas volume the anaesthetist compresses during hand ventilation. 5 litre volume is the smallest in the VentStar bag range and is matched to neonatal tidal volumes.
The bag is specified for neonates in the operating room. It is listed against the Dräger Atlan A100, A300 and A350 workstations including their XL variants, the Primus and Primus IE, and the Perseus A500. 5, 1, 2 and 3 litre bags together so the bag volume can be selected to the patient at the start of the case rather than substituting a larger bag.
