Dräger ClassicStar plus NIV Oronasal Mask with AAV, Size XL

The ClassicStar plus NIV oronasal mask covers both the nose and the mouth and is used to deliver non-invasive ventilation to adult patients. This version is fitted with an anti-asphyxia valve, which opens to room air if ventilator flow stops, and it has no exhalation port, so expired gas is returned through the circuit rather than vented at the mask.

That combination makes it a mask for dual-limb circuits or circuits with an active exhalation valve. The unit is size XL, the largest in the adult oronasal range. It is used in intensive care for adults receiving non-invasive support, including hypercapnic and hypoxaemic respiratory failure and post-extubation support, where mouth breathing or high pressures make a full-face interface preferable to a nasal mask.

The mask attaches to compatible headgear, which is ordered separately.
