Disposable heated neonatal breathing circuit of 1.8 m for the VentStar AutoBreath system, supplied in boxes of ten for resuscitation and theatre use.
8 metre hose. The heated limb keeps inspired gas at temperature between the humidification source and the patient connection, and the circuit is sized for newborn patients, where the volume of gas held in the tubing has a marked effect on the tidal volume actually delivered. The circuit is single-patient-use and is discarded after the patient.
It is used in the operating room and in neonatal resuscitation settings. The circuit is listed against the Dräger Babyroo TN300 infant warmer and the Resuscitaire, both of which are used at delivery and in the immediate newborn period. As with other neonatal circuits, it is held as a separate stock line from adult and paediatric circuits and cannot be substituted for them.
