Dräger VentStar Aquapor Dual Heated Circuit, Adult/Paediatric

This VentStar Aquapor circuit is dual heated, with heater wire in both the inspiratory and the expiratory limb, and it is sized for adult and paediatric patients. Heating both limbs keeps gas temperature stable along the whole circuit and limits the condensate that would otherwise collect in the return line during long periods of ventilation.

The circuit is intended for use with the Dräger Aquapor humidification system. It is used in intensive care for adult and paediatric patients on invasive ventilation with active humidification. The dual heated configuration is the one selected where circuits stay in service for extended periods or where ambient conditions make condensation in the expiratory limb a recurring nuisance.
