The longer hose is chosen where the anaesthesia machine or ventilator cannot be positioned close to the patient's head, such as in imaging suites, prone or lateral positioning, or theatres where the machine is placed to the side of the table.
8 metre Basic circuit, with no water trap fitted. The circuit is used in the operating room and in intensive care on adult patients.
