The Yonker Pulse Oximeter YK-80A is a fingertip device used to measure and display a patient's blood oxygen saturation, or SpO2, along with pulse rate. Its dual colour OLED screen shows the SpO2 value, pulse rate, a waveform trace and a pulse bar together, giving a fuller picture of the readings than a simple numeric display alone.
A 4-direction and 6-mode display option lets the user choose the orientation and layout that suits how they are holding or viewing the device, which is a convenient touch whether it is being used by the patient themselves or a carer standing alongside them. The device includes a menu based function setting, letting users adjust options such as beep sounds, along with the ability to set alarm ranges for both SpO2 and pulse rate so the device can flag readings that fall outside a safe range.
It runs on two AAA-size alkaline batteries with low power consumption, and a real-time battery status indicator lets the user see when a change is needed.
