Sklar Siegler Hellman Uterine Forceps
A 9-1/2 inch uterine forceps used to grasp and manipulate the uterus, giving the gynaecologic surgeon control during pelvic procedures.
The Sklar Siegler Hellman Uterine Forceps is designed to take a firm hold of uterine tissue so the surgeon can position and manipulate the organ during a gynaecological procedure. At nine and a half inches, it gives enough reach to work comfortably within the pelvis while keeping the handle clear of the surgical field.
Uterine forceps of this pattern are used in hysterectomy, myomectomy and other open or vaginal gynaecological surgery, where controlled traction on the uterus is needed to expose surrounding structures such as the ligaments and vessels. Gynaecologic surgeons and their assisting teams in hospitals and specialist women's health centres rely on this instrument as a routine part of the gynaecology tray.
It is manufactured from surgical stainless steel, fully reusable, and reprocessed through standard washing, inspection and steam sterilization between patients, consistent with other instruments used in pelvic surgery.
