Sklar Michel Rhinoscopic Mirror Complete, 12mm
A small mirror mounted on a handle, used by ENT clinicians to visualise the nasal cavity and nasopharynx during examination.
The Sklar Michel Rhinoscopic Mirror Complete is a diagnostic instrument used by ENT clinicians to examine the nasal cavity and nasopharynx, areas that are difficult to view directly. By positioning the small angled mirror within the nasal passage or at the back of the throat and reflecting light onto it, the clinician can inspect surfaces that would otherwise be hidden from direct line of sight, a technique long used in posterior rhinoscopy examinations.
The instrument is supplied complete with its handle, ready for immediate clinical use, at 12 millimetres in mirror diameter and 9-3/4 inches overall length. Otolaryngologists and ENT clinics use this type of mirror routinely during outpatient examinations, often alongside a head mirror or light source to direct illumination onto the reflecting surface.
This listing includes four variants within the family, likely covering related mirror sizes or configurations. As with other Sklar instruments that contact mucosal surfaces, it must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected or sterilised between patients.
