Sklar Michel Clips, 20mm, Pack of 1000
Metal skin closure clips measuring 20mm, used as an alternative to sutures for closing surgical incisions and lacerations.
Sklar Michel Clips are small metal clips used to close skin wounds and surgical incisions as a faster alternative to suturing, particularly useful for scalp wounds, straightforward surgical closures or situations where a quick, secure closure is preferred. Each clip is placed across the wound edge with an applying forceps and holds the skin margins together evenly while healing takes place, and the clips are later removed with a matching removal forceps once the wound has closed sufficiently.
Because they are placed individually along the length of a wound, clips are consumed in quantity relative to the number of patients treated, which is why they are supplied in bulk packs rather than as single units. General surgeons, emergency departments and wards that use this closure method keep a supply of clips on hand across the sizes their patient mix requires.
5 to 22 millimetres. As single use consumables, these clips are not intended for reprocessing after removal.
