Sklar Merit College Cotton Pliers, Self-Locking
A Sklar Merit college cotton pliers with a self-locking catch, angled with grooved tips, 6 inches, used to grip cotton and dental materials securely.
This Sklar Merit college cotton plier features a self-locking catch, letting the clinician close the jaws on an item and have them hold in place without continuous hand pressure, a useful feature when the plier needs to be set down briefly while still gripping. It has an angled shaft and grooved tips, offered here in the grooved tip variant alongside a plain self-locking option in this listing, and measures 6 inches for comfortable one handed use.
It is used by dentists and dental assistants to pick up and place cotton pledgets, dressings or small dental materials at chairside, with the grooved tip surface adding extra grip security on rounder or smoother items compared with a flat tip. The self-locking mechanism distinguishes this pattern from the standard spring style college pliers also carried in the range, giving clinicians a choice based on their preferred handling style.
It should be cleaned and sterilised between patients following standard dental instrument reprocessing protocols.
