Sklar Luer Retractor, Double End
A small double ended hand held retractor used to hold soft tissue aside and improve visibility during minor and general surgery.
The Sklar Luer Retractor is a compact, double ended hand held retractor used to draw back skin and soft tissue so the surgeon has a clear view of the operative field. Having a working end on both sides of the handle means a single instrument can offer two different retraction profiles, which is convenient during smaller procedures where switching instruments would interrupt the surgeon's workflow.
This pattern is commonly used in general, plastic and minor surgery whenever gentle, hand held retraction of tissue is needed rather than a self retaining retractor system. Surgeons and assistants use it to keep an incision open or to move tissue out of the way while dissection or suturing proceeds elsewhere in the field.
It measures 5-1/2 inches overall, a size suited to smaller incisions and superficial work rather than deep abdominal access. This listing is a single configuration. As with other Sklar surgical instruments, it is made from surgical stainless steel and intended for standard cleaning and sterilisation between cases.
