Sklar Laryngeal Mirror Handle, Threaded Only
A threaded, handle only accessory used to hold interchangeable laryngeal mirror heads securely in place during ENT indirect laryngoscopy examinations.
The Sklar Laryngeal Mirror Handle is a stand-alone handle, supplied without a mirror head, fitted with a threaded connection designed to accept and hold interchangeable laryngeal mirror heads of the type used for indirect laryngoscopy. Because laryngeal mirror heads come in a range of diameters to suit different examination needs, a separate reusable handle lets a clinic stock one or more handles alongside a set of mirror heads, screwing on whichever size is appropriate for a given patient or examination rather than needing a complete dedicated instrument for every mirror size.
The threaded fitting is designed to hold the mirror head securely in place during use, preventing it from loosening while the clinician manipulates the instrument within the patient's mouth and throat. ENT specialists and general practitioners performing indirect laryngoscopy or oropharyngeal examination use this handle as the reusable base of their mirror examination set.
As a reusable instrument, it should be cleaned and disinfected or sterilized between patients following standard reprocessing protocols, with the threading checked to confirm mirror heads seat and lock securely.
