Sklar Kraton Ligating O Rings, Latex-Free Pack of 100
Latex-free ligating O rings supplied in a pack of 100, used with a hemorrhoid ligator to band and treat internal hemorrhoids in an outpatient setting.
The Sklar Kraton Ligating O Rings are small elastic bands supplied in a pack of 100, made from a latex-free material so they can be used safely on patients with a latex sensitivity or allergy, a consideration that matters given how often banding procedures are performed in general practice and outpatient clinics.
Each ring is designed to be loaded onto a hemorrhoid ligator using a loading cone and then released around the base of an internal hemorrhoid, where it cuts off blood supply to the tissue so that it eventually shrinks and falls away, a well established, low invasiveness treatment for symptomatic internal hemorrhoids.
Supplying the rings in a pack of 100 suits clinics performing regular banding sessions, reducing the need for frequent reordering of consumables. Colorectal surgeons, general surgeons and gastroenterologists use these rings as a routine consumable alongside their reusable ligator device. Being a single use elastic band placed directly on tissue, each ring should be used once and discarded, and stored in its original packaging until use to preserve its elasticity.
