Sklar Gruber Ear Speculum, Large
A large Sklar Gruber ear speculum, used by ENT clinicians to open and visualize the ear canal during examination and minor ear procedures.
The Sklar Gruber Ear Speculum is an examination instrument used to gently open the outer ear canal, giving the clinician a clear line of sight to the tympanic membrane and canal walls during a routine ear examination or minor procedure such as cerumen removal or foreign body extraction. This listing covers the large size within the range, suited to adult patients with a wider ear canal, and the speculum is typically paired with an otoscope or operating microscope light source to complete the examination.
Otolaryngologists, general practitioners, audiologists and emergency clinicians use ear specula like this as basic diagnostic equipment in virtually every setting that assesses ear complaints, from primary care clinics to specialist ENT practices. Because ear canal size varies by patient, departments typically stock several speculum sizes so the correct fit is available for both adult and pediatric examinations, reducing patient discomfort while still allowing a full view of the canal and eardrum.
