Sklar Fiberoptic Washable Handle, Stubby
A short, washable stubby fiberoptic laryngoscope handle from Sklar, giving providers a compact grip for airway management in confined clinical spaces.
The Sklar Fiberoptic Washable Handle in the stubby length is a compact grip component for a fiber optic laryngoscope system, made to be fully washable so it can be cleaned and reprocessed between patients. Its shorter length compared to a standard handle makes it useful in situations with limited working room around the patient, such as bariatric intubation, cervical spine precautions or confined transport settings, where a full length handle can be harder to manoeuvre.
The handle houses the connection point for the light source that illuminates a compatible fiberoptic blade, sold separately, and is used by anesthesiologists, anesthetists and emergency physicians in operating rooms, emergency departments and pre hospital care. Departments that manage a range of intubation scenarios often keep both standard and stubby handles in their airway equipment sets so the right handle length is available for the clinical situation at hand.
This handle is intended to be paired with Sklar's range of fiber optic Wisconsin, Macintosh and Miller blades.
