The Sklar Fein Cotton Applicator is designed to carry a wrap of cotton wool on its serrated, curved tip, which grips the material securely so it stays in place while the applicator is used to apply an antiseptic or medicated solution, absorb fluid, or gently pack a cavity such as the ear or nose. Its 3 finger ring handle gives the operator a more secure, controlled grip than a plain shaft handle, useful during procedures that require fine manipulation over an extended period.
At eleven inches, it offers considerable reach, suited to deeper ENT work where a shorter applicator would not comfortably access the treatment area, and the curved shaft helps the instrument follow the natural anatomy of the ear or nasal passage.
