Sklar Dittel Urethral Sound Set, Khaki Roll of 17
A set of 17 urethral sounds packed in a khaki roll, used by urologists to perform graduated dilation of the urethra during urologic surgery.
The Sklar Dittel Urethral Sound Set brings together a full graduated range of urethral sounds packed in a khaki roll for organised storage and easy access in theatre. This particular set includes 17 sounds, allowing the urologist to progress through increasing sizes during a graduated urethral dilation procedure without needing to source individual sounds separately.
Graduated dilation is a standard technique in the management of urethral stricture disease, where a series of gradually larger sounds is passed to safely widen a narrowed segment of the urethra over the course of a treatment session. Urologists and urology departments rely on complete sets like this one to ensure every size needed during a dilation sequence is available and properly organised, reducing setup time and the risk of missing sizes mid-procedure.
This listing includes two pack quantity options, a 6 sound set and the 17 sound set featured here, giving urology units a choice based on the range of dilation typically required in their practice. Hospitals with an active urology service would stock this set as a core component of their urethral instrument inventory.
