Sklar Columbia Lip Retractor, Double End
A 5-1/2 inch double ended retractor used to hold the lip away from the surgical field during oral, dental and maxillofacial procedures.
The Sklar Columbia Lip Retractor is a 5-1/2 inch double ended instrument used to hold the lip aside and provide clear access to the oral cavity during dental and oral surgical procedures. Having two working ends on a single handle gives the surgical assistant or surgeon two blade sizes or shapes to choose from without needing to switch instruments, which is a practical convenience during procedures that move between different areas of the mouth.
The blade is shaped to sit comfortably against the inner surface of the lip, distributing retraction pressure to keep the tissue held clear without causing localized discomfort or bruising over the course of a longer procedure. Instruments of this pattern are standard in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental implant placement and general dental procedures wherever the lip needs to be retracted to improve visualization and access.
Dental surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and dental assistants use this retractor routinely as part of intraoral procedure trays. As a simple, reusable stainless steel instrument, it is easy to clean, inspect and sterilize between patients.
