Sklar Brodie Probe, 8 Inch 3.5mm Tip
An 8 inch probe with a 3.5mm tip used to explore fistula tracts, sinus cavities and wound channels during surgical assessment and treatment, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Brodie Probe is a slender surgical instrument used to gently explore fistula tracts, sinus cavities or narrow wound channels, helping the surgeon understand the depth and direction of the tract before deciding on further treatment. 5mm tip at 8 inches overall is sized to pass through typical fistula and sinus openings without forcing the tissue.
This is a single configuration listing, sold as an individual instrument. Probes of this type are used across general, colorectal and plastic surgery whenever a tract needs to be traced, often as a preliminary step before using a director or performing a fistulotomy. It is intended for use by trained surgical staff and, like other reusable diagnostic surgical instruments, is cleaned and sterilised between patients.
