Sklar Brodie Director, Malleable 6-1/2 Inch
A malleable 6-1/2 inch grooved director used to guide a scalpel or probe safely along tissue planes and protect underlying structures during surgery, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Brodie Director is a grooved surgical instrument used to guide a scalpel blade or probe along a controlled path, helping the surgeon divide tissue such as a sinus tract or fistula while the smooth underside of the director protects deeper structures from accidental injury. Being malleable, the 6-1/2 inch instrument can be bent by hand to follow the specific curve of the tract or tissue plane being addressed in an individual patient before use.
This is a single configuration listing, sold as an individual instrument. It is intended for use by trained general and specialty surgical staff across a range of procedures where a probe-and-cut technique is used, and like other malleable reusable instruments it is cleaned, reshaped as needed and sterilised between cases.
