Sklar Bose Trachea Hook, Sharp Right Tip
A 6-1/4 inch sharp-tipped hook used to stabilise and improve the trachea during tracheostomy procedures, available in left and right hand versions, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Bose Trachea Hook is a surgical instrument used during tracheostomy to catch and stabilise the trachea, holding it steady and slightly improved so the surgeon can make and manage the tracheal incision with better control. Its sharp tip is designed to engage the tracheal cartilage securely without slipping during the procedure.
At 6-1/4 inches overall, this right tip version is one of two hand orientations offered, the other being a left tip variant, so the instrument can be positioned to suit the surgeon's approach and hand preference during the operation. It is intended for use by trained surgical staff performing tracheostomy in an operating room or, in some settings, at the bedside under sterile conditions.
Like other reusable surgical hooks, it is cleaned and sterilised between procedures and kept as part of a tracheostomy instrument tray.
