Sklar Blue Lateral Vaginal Retractor, Ratchet Handle
A ratchet handled retractor with blades designed to fit inside a vaginal speculum, used to add lateral retraction during vaginal surgery, for use in hospitals and surgical centers.
The Sklar Blue Electrosurgical Lateral Vaginal Retractor is built to work together with a vaginal speculum rather than in place of one, its blades sized to fit inside the speculum and provide additional lateral retraction of the vaginal walls once the speculum is positioned. The ratchet handle lets the surgeon lock the retractor open at the degree of retraction needed, freeing hands for other steps of the procedure rather than holding tension manually throughout.
The blue electrosurgical coating is intended for use in cases where cautery devices are active near the surgical field. This is a single configuration listing, sold as an individual instrument. It is intended for use by trained gynecologic surgical staff during vaginal procedures where the standard speculum opening alone does not provide sufficient exposure, and is commonly used alongside a Graves or Auvard speculum on the same tray.
