Sklar Austin Pick, Angled 25 Degrees
A fine 6-1/4 inch pick angled 25 degrees with a 0.8mm tip, used in ENT microsurgery to probe or manipulate delicate ear structures. It is supplied for repeated sterilization and reuse in hospital and clinic settings.
8mm tip, used to gently probe, lift, or manipulate small anatomical structures during ear surgery. Its slender shaft and precisely angled tip allow the surgeon to work through the narrow confines of the ear canal or middle ear under microscope magnification, where larger instruments cannot be used safely.
This pick is offered in more than one configuration, giving otologic surgeons a choice suited to different steps of tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty, or other middle ear procedures. Instruments of this kind are used almost exclusively by otolaryngologists and neurotologists performing delicate ear surgery, and they are typically part of a dedicated microsurgical ear tray rather than a general ENT set.
Because the tip is so fine, careful handling and storage between cases is important to keep the point accurate, and the instrument is reprocessed using standard hospital sterilization protocols for microsurgical instruments.
