Sklar Alderdyce Elevator, Double End
A double ended, 8-1/2 inch elevator with semi-sharp and blunt 7mm working ends used to separate tissue from bone. It is built for repeated sterilisation and use across many cases.
The Sklar Alderdyce Elevator is a double ended surgical elevator measuring 8-1/2 inches, giving the surgeon two different working ends on a single instrument. One end carries a semi-sharp edge while the other is blunt, both finishing at a 7mm width, so the practitioner can switch between a slightly more aggressive edge for tighter tissue planes and a gentler blunt edge for careful separation, without reaching for a second instrument.
Elevators of this type are used to lift and separate periosteum, fascia or other fibrous tissue away from underlying bone or cartilage during a range of surgical procedures. The double ended design is a practical space and time saving feature within a busy instrument tray, since it effectively provides two elevator profiles in the footprint of one instrument.
This is a single fixed size listing, and it is typically stocked as a general purpose elevator within orthopedic, ENT or plastic surgery trays where tissue elevation from bone is a routine step.
