Sklar Adson Elevator, Slightly Curved 7mm Blade
A periosteal elevator with a slightly curved 7mm blade, used to separate periosteum from bone during orthopedic and general surgery. It is reused across procedures after cleaning and sterilisation.
The Sklar Adson Elevator is a periosteal elevator used to lift and separate the periosteum, the fibrous membrane covering bone, away from the underlying bone surface. Surgeons reach for this type of instrument during orthopedic, craniofacial and general surgical procedures whenever bone needs to be exposed cleanly before cutting, drilling or fixation work.
The blade carries a slight curve and measures 7mm across, giving controlled leverage without excessive tissue trauma. This listing covers four configurations of the same 6-3/4 inch elevator, offered with blunt or semi-sharp edges and round end or square end tip styles, so theatre staff can match the elevator to the specific dissection plane and bone contour required.
Having both blunt and semi-sharp options on hand lets a single tray cover softer subperiosteal work as well as firmer bone release. It is a straightforward, reusable stainless instrument intended for repeated sterilisation and use across cases.
