Skedco SKED Basic Rescue System
A compact rescue stretcher system from Skedco used for confined space, high angle and technical rescue, offering secure patient packaging. It is a practical choice for hospitals, clinics and healthcare distributors across the UAE and wider GCC region.
The SKED Basic Rescue System is a rescue stretcher built for confined space, high angle and technical rescue, as well as more traditional land-based patient movement. Its design allows a patient to be securely packaged inside the stretcher, providing protection and stability while they are moved through difficult terrain or lifted using ropes and pulleys.
Once packaged, the SKED can be configured for horizontal hoisting by helicopter or vertical hoisting in environments such as caves or industrial confined spaces, giving rescue teams flexibility across very different operational scenarios. This adaptability has made it a long-standing choice among fire and rescue services, industrial rescue teams, mountain and cave rescue units, and military units that need a stretcher capable of handling technical rope rescue as well as standard patient transport.
Its compact, rollable design when not in use allows it to be stored in a vehicle or carried into remote locations without the bulk of a rigid stretcher, which matters when rescuers must hike or climb to reach a casualty before the evacuation can even begin.
