Reliquip Rest Couch for Patient Recovery
A rest couch sitting 28cm lower than a standard examination couch, giving a patient who feels unwell a comfortable, supportive place to lie down and recover.
The Reliquip rest couch, item number 7550, shares the same durability and practicality as the Reliance range of examination couches, but is built specifically for a patient who feels unwell and needs to lie down rather than for active clinical examination or treatment. Its height is set 28cm, or around 11 inches, lower than a standard examination couch, a deliberate design choice that makes the couch better suited to patient recovery than to a clinician carrying out a procedure.
Sitting lower to the ground also gives the patient more comfort and physical support while they wait for further action to be decided, whether that means monitoring, transport or discharge. The lower height brings another practical benefit, making it easier for a colleague or carer to sit alongside the patient to offer reassurance or basic assistance without needing to stand or use a chair pulled up to a higher couch.
It suits occupational health rooms, first aid points, clinics and any setting that needs a dedicated space for a patient to rest rather than be examined.
