The chair is built from three main parts, a backrest, a seat section and a leg rest, which work together under motorised control rather than needing manual repositioning between each part of an examination.
Three DC motors, operated through a handset, drive the chair's back up and down movement, overall chair height up and down movement, and trendelenburg and reverse trendelenburg positioning, giving practitioners precise control over patient positioning throughout a procedure. Height adjustment through the handset lets staff set the chair to a comfortable working level, and the chair moves vertically as needed to suit different stages of an examination or minor surgical task.
