Reeves Sleeve II Rescue Stretcher, Confined Spaces
A rescue stretcher from Reeves, used by the U.S. Navy for rapid immobilisation of spinal and neck injuries in tight spaces, rated over 1,000 lbs.
S. Navy during extreme rescue situations and is one of three Reeves Sleeve options built for the rapid immobilisation of spinal and neck injuries in tight places where a rigid backboard or full-length stretcher would be difficult to manoeuvre. Its load capacity has been independently tested to over 1,000 lbs, giving rescuers confidence in its strength even in demanding physical rescue scenarios.
It is constructed from lightweight 18 oz vinyl-coated polyester, a material that is easily washed with soap and water between uses, supporting straightforward decontamination after a rescue. The stretcher is available in orange or black, identified by their respective product codes, and it measures 73 inches long by 24 inches wide when open, folding down to 24 by 12 by 5 inches for storage.
Depending on configuration, it weighs 30 lbs when used with the Reeves Spine Board or 18 lbs without it. Naval and maritime rescue teams, confined space rescue units and industrial safety teams use stretchers like this when a flexible, wrap-around design is more practical than a rigid board.
