The HD Rescue LS Softboard is a soft surfboard hybrid, built in a longboard shape and wider profile, made in Peru specifically for lifeguards, search and rescue teams, first responders and beach surf rescue units. Its softer construction compared with a traditional hardboard reduces the risk of injury to both the rescuer and the person being rescued during contact in the water, while still giving the paddler the speed and stability needed for a fast response to a swimmer in distress.
Two sets of rail handles are fitted along the board to give a distressed person something secure to grip while being brought back to shore. 9 lbs, the board is sized for stability and buoyancy in open water conditions. A single fin is included with the board, though a foot leash is sold separately and should be added before use.
