Junkin JSA-365 X-Ray Translucent Plastic Backboard
A lightweight, X-ray translucent polyethylene backboard from Junkin with 12 hand holes and a 400 lb load capacity, used for spinal immobilisation. It is commonly stocked by hospitals, clinics and emergency response teams across the UAE and wider GCC market.
The Junkin JSA-365 Plastic Backboard is a one-piece, lightweight polyethylene spine board built for spinal immobilisation and patient transport during emergency response. Twelve large hand holes are positioned around the board's edge, giving multiple rescuers a secure and comfortable grip when lifting and carrying a patient together, which matters when moving someone over uneven ground or up and down stairways.
Built-in runners on the underside make it easier to slide the board across surfaces during patient loading, and its low profile helps reduce the effort needed to log-roll a patient onto the board correctly. Because the board is X-ray translucent, patients can typically remain on it during initial imaging without needing to be moved first, reducing the number of transfers a suspected spinal injury patient undergoes.
Measuring 73 inches by 16 inches and weighing 15 lbs, it supports a load capacity of 400 lbs and comes with four straps to secure the patient once positioned. Ambulance services, fire departments and hospital emergency departments use backboards like this as standard equipment for suspected spinal injury cases.
