Junkin JSA-200-B Break Away Rescue Stretcher
A break-away plastic stretcher from Junkin that splits into two backpackable halves, designed for rescues requiring lengthy foot travel to the scene. It is a practical choice for hospitals, clinics and healthcare distributors across the UAE and wider GCC region.
The Junkin JSA-200-B Break Away Plastic Stretcher shares the same core construction as the standard JSA-200 basket stretcher, but adds a design feature specifically for rescues where injured persons need to be reached after a lengthy foot journey. The stretcher breaks into two separate halves, each of which can be carried as a backpack to the point of rescue, then assembled in seconds once the rescuer arrives at the casualty, removing the need to carry a full-length rigid stretcher over difficult terrain to reach the scene.
Positive-locking quick-release pins secure the two halves back together, giving the assembled stretcher the strength needed for the return journey, and four straps are included as standard to secure the patient once loaded. 5 inches high, and weighing 32 lbs when assembled, it carries a load capacity of 1200 lbs.
Mountain rescue teams, wilderness search and rescue units, and industrial or mining rescue teams operating in remote locations use break-away stretchers like this when the approach to a casualty is as demanding as the extraction itself.
