Head Immobilizer, Universal, Orange
A universal head immobilizer with adjustable side blocks and large ear holes, used alongside a backboard to stabilise the head, neck and spine after injury.
The Head Immobilizer is used together with a spine backboard to stabilise a patient's head following a suspected head, neck or spine injury. It uses side blocks fitted with wide, fast-stick closures that give a snug fit while allowing rescuers to apply and adjust it quickly during an emergency response, rather than struggling with fiddly fasteners under pressure.
Its universal sizing is intended to work across a range of patients and backboard types, reducing the need to stock multiple immobilizer sizes for different situations. A thoughtful design detail is the large circular ear holes built into the side blocks, which let responders and clinical staff monitor for bleeding or fluid drainage from the ear and communicate with the patient without having to remove or loosen the immobilizer.
Supplied in orange, one per pack, it is designed for visibility and quick identification among other emergency gear. Head immobilizers like this are standard kit for ambulance crews, fire and rescue services, and hospital emergency departments managing trauma patients.
