Bionex Max Sharp Retractor, 4.5 to 6.5
An autoclavable stainless steel Max Sharp retractor used in surgery for tissue retraction, available in 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 size options.
The Bionex Max Sharp Retractor is a stainless steel surgical instrument used to hold back tissue and improve the surgeon's view and access during a procedure. 5, giving the surgical team the option to select the size that best matches the depth and scale of the operative field for a given procedure.
Having a range of sizes available means the same basic retractor pattern can be adapted from smaller, more superficial procedures to deeper surgical fields, without the team needing to switch to an entirely different retractor design partway through a case. As with other hand held retractors, it is used to hold tissue in place while an assistant maintains the position, offering flexibility to adjust the depth and angle of retraction as the surgery progresses.
Made from stainless steel, it is autoclavable and built for the repeated sterilisation cycles expected of reusable surgical instruments in a hospital operating theatre. General surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons and surgical assistants across many specialties keep retractors like this as a standard part of their instrument trays, reprocessing between cases according to the facility's protocol.
