Bionex Ear Loop, Stainless Steel
An autoclavable stainless steel ear loop used to gently remove earwax and debris from the ear canal during routine ear examination and care.
The Bionex Ear Loop is a stainless steel instrument shaped with a small circular loop at its working end, used to gently draw out earwax and debris from the ear canal during routine ear care. The loop shape allows the clinician to hook underneath a piece of wax and lift it out in a controlled way, offering an alternative technique to ear syringing or a curette for suitable patients.
Because the loop is smooth and rounded, it is designed to make contact with the sensitive lining of the ear canal as gentle as possible while still giving the clinician enough leverage to remove material effectively. Made from stainless steel, the ear loop is autoclavable and built to withstand the repeated sterilisation cycles expected of reusable ENT instruments used across many patients in a busy practice.
General practitioners, ENT specialists and specialist nurses running ear care clinics keep ear loops on hand alongside other ear hygiene instruments such as hooks and curettes, choosing the tool that best suits the wax consistency and position on any given patient. As with other reusable stainless steel instruments, it should be cleaned, disinfected and sterilised between each use.
