The 3M RelyX Luting Plus Cement is a resin modified glass ionomer cement used for the permanent cementation of crowns, bridges and other indirect restorations. Its paste to paste formula is designed to provide higher bond strength than conventional glass ionomer cements while still simplifying clean-up of excess material around the restoration margin, a common concern with cements that set very quickly or become difficult to remove once partially cured.
Several dispensing options support this convenience, including the manufacturer's Clicker dispenser for hand mixing, an automix syringe for direct intraoral delivery, and a tack light cure option that allows the dentist to briefly hold the cement in place with a curing light before it fully sets on its own, giving more working time control.
