3M Adper Single Bond Plus, Total-Etch Adhesive
A total-etch, light-activated dental adhesive built for high dentin bond strength, used when placing direct composite restorations chairside.
Adper Single Bond Plus Adhesive is a total-etch dental bonding agent used in restorative dentistry to secure composite fillings to prepared tooth structure. Like other total-etch adhesives, it is applied following a separate acid etching and rinsing step, giving the clinician a workflow that many general dentists already know well from years of using etch-and-rinse systems.
The adhesive is light-activated and formulated to deliver high dentin bond strength, an important property for restorations that extend into dentin, where achieving a durable, leak-free bond has traditionally been harder than bonding to enamel. A dependable adhesive layer reduces the risk of postoperative sensitivity and marginal staining, both common complaints when a bonded restoration does not seal the tooth properly at the interface between tooth and filling material.
This product is supplied under a couple of catalog numbers reflecting different bottle sizes or kit configurations, and it remains a standard stocked item for general dental practices doing routine direct composite work, alongside etchant, applicators and the composite material itself.
