3M Ranger Irrigation Fluid Warming Unit
A fluid warming unit used to warm surgical irrigation fluid to a safe temperature, helping maintain patient normothermia during operating room procedures.
The Ranger Irrigation Fluid Warming Unit is patient warming equipment used in operating rooms to bring surgical irrigation fluid up to a controlled, safe temperature before it comes into contact with the patient during a procedure. Irrigation fluid that is too cold can contribute to unintended patient hypothermia, particularly during longer surgeries or procedures involving large volumes of fluid, so warming the fluid beforehand supports better temperature management throughout the case.
This unit is used by operating room and anaesthesia staff as part of standard theatre setup for procedures where irrigation fluid is required, working alongside other Ranger branded warming equipment already used in many surgical departments for blood and fluid warming. As capital equipment, it is intended to remain in the operating room as part of the department's standing inventory rather than being a disposable item.
Hospitals equipping or expanding an operating theatre for procedures that rely on irrigation fluid, such as certain orthopaedic, urological or general surgical cases, use equipment of this kind to support consistent perioperative temperature control for patients.
