3M Bair Hugger Flex Warming Gown
A flexible patient warming gown that connects to the Bair Hugger forced-air warming system, supporting normothermia during surgical procedures.
The 3M Bair Hugger Flex Warming Gown is built with a more adaptable shape than the standard warming gown, letting it fit a wider range of patient positions and clinical situations while still connecting to the Bair Hugger forced-air warming unit. Warmed air circulates through the gown to help prevent hypothermia and maintain the patient's core temperature throughout the perioperative period, from preoperative holding through the surgical procedure and into recovery.
Good perioperative temperature management, supported by warming gowns like this, is associated with fewer complications, including a reduced rate of surgical site infection, which is why patient warming has become routine in many hospitals. The flex design may be preferred for procedures involving particular patient positioning or where a standard gown shape does not fit as well.
It is used across a broad range of surgical specialties wherever perioperative warming is part of standard protocol. It is stocked under three catalog numbers.
