3M Ketac Cem Glass Ionomer Luting Cement, Aplicap/Maxicap
A glass ionomer luting cement offering fluoride release, low film thickness and radiopacity, available in the Aplicap and Maxicap capsule application systems.
3M Ketac Cem Glass Ionomer Luting Cement is used by dentists to cement crowns, bridges and other indirect restorations onto a prepared tooth. The material offers fluoride release, giving an ongoing benefit to the tooth structure around the margin of the cemented restoration, along with a low film thickness that helps the restoration seat fully onto the tooth preparation without excess cement bulk affecting the fit.
Radiopacity in the cement means the cement layer is visible on a radiograph, letting the clinician confirm that the restoration has seated correctly and check for any residual cement at a later visit. This cement is available in the 3M Aplicap or Maxicap application systems, capsule-based delivery formats that allow the cement to be mechanically activated and applied with a dedicated applier rather than hand mixed, giving a more consistent mix each time and reducing waste.
This product suits general dental practices completing routine crown and bridge cementation that already use, or want to adopt, capsule-based cement dispensing.
