The 3M Bair Hugger+ Warming Gown Kit bundles the Bair Hugger plus gown design, which includes a second clinical hose port in the lower part of the gown, into a ready-to-use kit. Having two hose ports means the warming hose can be connected to either the upper or lower port depending on which part of the patient's body needs warming during the procedure, without staff needing to remove or reposition the gown partway through the case.
This flexibility can save time and reduce disturbance to the patient and the sterile field when the warming focus needs to shift during a longer procedure. Connected to the Bair Hugger forced-air warming unit, the gown helps prevent hypothermia and maintain normothermia, supporting the reduced complication rates linked to good perioperative temperature control.
