The 3M Attest Super Rapid Steam Biological Indicator, brown cap, gives sterile processing teams a fast, reliable way to confirm that a dynamic air removal steam sterilization cycle has achieved the spore kill needed before instruments are released for use. It is built to monitor 270 degrees Fahrenheit three or four minute cycles and 275 degrees Fahrenheit three minute cycles, the exposure patterns typically used for wrapped and pouched surgical trays that go through vacuum assisted sterilizers.
Once the cycle is complete, the indicator is read in the Attest Auto-reader 490 or 490M, which delivers a final fluorescent result after only 24 minutes, replacing the multi day wait of older biological monitoring methods. This FDA cleared, ISO compliant indicator is used daily by sterile processing technicians, infection prevention teams and quality staff in hospitals, day surgery centres and dental clinics who need documented, repeatable proof that their sterilizers are performing correctly before trays return to the operating room or clinic.
