Tegaderm High Performance Foam Adhesive Dressing
A multi-layer foam adhesive dressing for partial and full thickness wounds, with a spoke delivery system for one-handed application over body contours. It is a standard item in dental and medical practice.
The Tegaderm High Performance Foam Adhesive Dressing is a multi-layer foam dressing used as either a primary or secondary dressing for partial and full thickness dermal wounds, suitable for wounds producing different levels of exudate, from low to high. The foam layer absorbs wound drainage while helping maintain a moist environment conducive to healing, and its adhesive border keeps the dressing securely in place around the wound edges.
A notable design feature is the spoke delivery system built into the bordered foam, which is intended to make application easier and manageable with one hand, an important consideration when dressing awkward or difficult body contours such as heels, elbows and other joint areas where a flat dressing does not conform naturally.
This design reduces the need for the clinician to fold, cut or otherwise adjust the dressing extensively to fit these shapes. The dressing uses a high performance acrylate adhesive suited to securing foam dressings over time. Wound care nurses and clinicians use this dressing in hospital, clinic and home care settings for exuding wounds located on contoured areas of the body.
