Surtron Bipolar Forceps, Curved 20cm, 1mm Tip
Curved, non-sterile bipolar forceps measuring 20cm with a 1mm tip, autoclavable and reusable, designed for use with compatible bipolar electrosurgery units for daily hospital and clinic use.
These Surtron Bipolar Forceps are a curved instrument measuring 20cm in length with a 1mm tip, used to grasp tissue and deliver bipolar current for coagulation during surgery. The curved shape helps the surgeon approach tissue at an angle where a straight instrument would be awkward, while the fine 1mm tip supports precise, localised coagulation rather than affecting a wide area of surrounding tissue.
They are supplied non sterile, so the facility sterilises them before first use and between cases as part of its own reprocessing routine, and they are autoclavable at 121 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or at 124 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes, rated for up to 30 cycles. Because they connect to the electrosurgical generator through a bipolar cable, they are used specifically for bipolar work rather than monopolar cutting or coagulation.
Surgical teams running Surtron and other compatible bipolar electrosurgical units use forceps like this as a reusable instrument for procedures needing controlled, localised coagulation.
