Sklar Tivnen Tonsil Seizing Forceps, Angled
A 7-1/2 inch angled tonsil seizing forceps with 3x3 teeth, used by ENT surgeons to grasp and control tonsillar tissue firmly during surgery.
The Sklar Tivnen Tonsil Seizing Forceps is designed to take a firm, secure hold of tonsillar tissue so the surgeon can control and position it during removal. Its jaws carry a 3x3 tooth pattern, giving a more assertive grip than a smooth or lightly serrated forceps, which helps when the tissue itself needs to be held under tension during dissection.
The angled shape lets the surgeon approach the tonsillar fossa from a comfortable working angle without the handle blocking the view into the oral cavity. At seven and a half inches, it is a standard length for ENT trays used in tonsillectomy and related throat surgery performed in hospitals and day surgery centres.
ENT surgeons and their assisting scrub staff rely on this pattern for cases where a stronger grasping tooth pattern than a standard tonsil forceps is preferred. As a reusable stainless steel instrument, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between patients as part of the ENT instrument set.
