Sklar Titanium Foerster Sponge Forceps
A 9-1/2 inch titanium sponge forceps with serrated jaws, used to hold sponges and swabs during surgical prepping and internal packing.
The Sklar Titanium Foerster Sponge Forceps is a ring handled clamp with oval, serrated jaws used to grip a surgical sponge or swab securely, whether for prepping the skin before incision or for packing and dabbing inside a surgical cavity. Made from titanium rather than standard stainless steel, it is notably lighter to hold through a long procedure while remaining strong enough for repeated clamping.
At nine and a half inches with a straight profile and serrated jaws, it offers reliable reach and grip for a range of general surgical uses. Sponge forceps are used across nearly every surgical specialty for skin preparation, wound packing and haemostasis support, making this one of the most universally stocked instruments in an operating theatre.
Surgeons, scrub nurses and surgical technologists all handle this instrument routinely. As a reusable titanium instrument, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between uses following the facility's standard reprocessing protocol.
