Sklar TC Jaboma Forceps, Straight, 7 Inch
A straight 7 inch tungsten carbide forceps with 1x2 teeth, used to grasp tissue firmly during general and reconstructive surgical procedures.
The Sklar TC Jaboma Forceps is a straight tissue forceps carrying tungsten carbide jaw inserts finished with a 1x2 tooth pattern. This tooth arrangement gives a controlled, non-slip bite on tissue while the tungsten carbide inserts extend the working life of the fine teeth compared with a plain stainless steel jaw.
At seven inches overall, it offers a general purpose reach suited to a range of open surgical procedures where the surgeon needs a dependable mid length tissue forceps. Instruments of this pattern are used across general and reconstructive surgery wherever tissue needs to be grasped securely during dissection, retraction or suturing.
Surgeons and their assisting teams in hospital operating theatres keep this style of forceps as a standard component of the general surgery tray, often stocking more than one for a single case given how frequently a tissue forceps changes hands. As a reusable instrument with tungsten carbide inserts, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between cases.
