Sklar TC Gruenwald Tissue Forceps, 7-1/4 In
A 7-1/4 inch tungsten carbide tissue forceps with a pointed, serrated tip, used to grasp fine or fibrous tissue with precision during surgery.
The Sklar TC Gruenwald Tissue Forceps has tungsten carbide inserts set into a pointed, serrated jaw tip, giving a precise, focused grip on tissue that a broader tooth pattern would not provide. At seven and a quarter inches, it offers enough reach for general surgical fields while the pointed tip lets the surgeon take a controlled hold on smaller or more fibrous tissue structures.
The tungsten carbide construction keeps the fine tip sharper across repeated sterilization cycles than an equivalent plain steel forceps. This instrument is used across general and ENT surgery wherever a precise, pointed grip on tissue is preferred over a broader toothed pattern, such as when handling cartilage or fibrous connective tissue.
Surgeons and their scrub teams in hospital operating theatres use this pattern as a specialised addition to a general instrument set. As a reusable instrument with tungsten carbide inserts, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between cases.
