Sklar TC Gerald Tissue Forceps, Cross-Serrated
A 6-3/4 inch tungsten carbide tissue forceps with cross-serrated jaws and 1x2 teeth, used to grasp tissue with precision during surgery.
The Sklar TC Gerald Tissue Forceps is a straight, mid length forceps carrying tungsten carbide jaw inserts finished with cross-serrated jaws and a 1x2 tooth tip. The combination gives a fine, precise grip on tissue with the added durability that tungsten carbide brings over an all steel jaw across repeated use and sterilization cycles.
At six and three quarter inches, it suits general and plastic surgery work where the surgeon needs more reach than an Adson pattern offers but still wants a light, precise tip. This forceps is used across general, plastic and reconstructive surgery wherever tissue needs to be grasped gently but securely during dissection or suturing.
Surgeons and their assisting staff in hospital operating theatres treat this pattern as a versatile mid length tissue forceps suited to a broad range of general procedures. As a reusable instrument with tungsten carbide inserts, it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between cases along with the rest of the general surgery tray.
