Sklar TC Adson-Brown Tissue Forceps
A 4-3/4 inch tissue forceps with tungsten carbide inserts and side-grasping teeth, used to hold tissue gently while minimising crush injury.
The Sklar TC Adson-Brown Tissue Forceps combines the classic Adson-Brown tooth pattern with tungsten carbide inserts set into the jaw tips. The tungsten carbide gives the gripping surface added hardness and wear resistance compared with plain stainless steel, so the fine teeth stay sharp and effective over more use cycles.
Its side-grasping teeth distribute pressure across a wider tissue surface than a pointed tooth pattern, reducing the risk of crushing delicate tissue, and a cross-serrated tying platform near the handle helps control suture material during knot tying. This listing offers two tooth counts, 4x4 and 7x7, giving surgeons a choice based on tissue type and personal preference.
At four and three quarter inches, it suits close plastic, general and microsurgical work where gentle but secure tissue handling matters. Surgeons across plastic, general and reconstructive surgery use this pattern, and as a reusable instrument it is cleaned, inspected and steam sterilized between cases.
